The demon ate all his desires, so his body no longer registers any — the only thing it left was his desire for revenge against it.

PERSONALITY

Once an overtly friendly yet condescending person, Mithrun has been reduced to an empty shell of the person he once was. To many, he might as well be a corpse; with no desires to call his own, Mithrun is much like a domesticated pet who needs others to survive. While eating and sleeping are basic necessities he does almost automatically in order to keep living, he has no true desire to do either. In a dungeon, he straight up neglects those necessities, and desperately needs others to remind him and force him to do both. That lack of desire has made him quite the blunt person, having, after all, no desire to mince his words. Despite all, he's rather perceptive and intelligent, which are two of the many reasons he eventually was assigned captain of the Canaries. And though one could argue that having no desires means he has no desire to do good, he equally has no desire to do evil - for many years what kept him going was the eventual revenge he'd sworn on getting on the demon who has made him this way. He will not commit murder if that will hinder the journey to his objective, or cause harm to anyone who doesn't deserve it - but in order to prevent demons from feeding off other people's desires and potentially worsening a dungeon or causing harm to humanity, Mithrun has no qualms doing what must be done.

Mithrun's unnamed older brother was the source of his inferiority complex, jealousy and eventually, the reason that led him to become a dungeon lord. Though he once harbored feelings of hatred towards him, their relationship has improved to a small extent. They see each other every five years.

DUNGEON LORD

Tempted by the prospect of a world where he did not join the Canaries and could be with his crush at the time, Mithrun became a dungeon lord at age 145. His dungeon was, according to Milsiril, a "warped, convoluted place built from inferiority, jealousy, lies, and anger". His desires were eaten one by one for the five years he was Dungeon Lord, until he was eventually stripped of his right eye, the tip of his ears, and most of his desires - save for his desire for revenge.

CANARIES CAPTAIN

After 20 years of rehab, with a new-found desire for revenge against the demon who left him in such dire state, Mithrun was appointed captain of the Canaries and given his own squad, composed of fellow guard Pattadol of the House of Vari and the prisoners Cithis Ofri and Otta, both who were assigned to him, and Fleki and Lycion, assigned to Pattadol. To some extent or another, they all respect him.
